We’re excited to help you grow fresh food at home. To keep everything clear and simple, here are the terms that apply to our subscriptions, plant kits, and installation services.
1. Setup Fee & Billing
A one-time Setup Fee equal to four (4) months of service is charged when you join.
The Setup Fee is refundable only within the first 7 days. After 7 days, it becomes non-refundable.
Monthly subscription payments begin 120 days after signup and are billed automatically each month.
If a payment fails or is late, service may be paused or canceled until resolved.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Subscriptions may be canceled anytime after the 120-day setup period.
If you cancel within 7 days of purchase and before plants are ordered or delivered, you may request a refund of the subscription portion (not the Setup Fee).
After 7 days, the Setup Fee is non-refundable.
3. Deliveries & No-Shows
Service is currently available in San Diego County.
Customers must provide access for scheduled deliveries and visits.
If no one is available and no access is provided, a $20 no-show fee will be charged.
You may grant permission for our Loopers to enter a pet-free backyard directly, or request that we always knock first.
If no one is home, kits may be left at the door if you’ve provided permission. Please note: plants left outside too long (sun, heat, overnight exposure) may be damaged or die, and HarvestLoop is not responsible in these cases.
All visits are confirmed by text message and logged in the HarvestLoop app.
4. Garden Bed Installations
Customers are responsible for ensuring their space is suitable (sunlight, soil area, irrigation, HOA/landlord approval, and clearance of underground utilities).
Installations require either photos of the site or a Looper on-site review, depending on project size.
We do not perform major excavation or use heavy equipment. The area must be planter-ready.
HarvestLoop is not responsible for hidden utilities, sprinkler lines, or property issues outside normal garden bed preparation.
5. Plant Kits (Delivered vs Installed)
Delivered Kits: Customers are responsible for planting promptly. Plant health is not guaranteed if kits are not planted quickly or cared for properly.
If no one is home, kits may be left at the door if you’ve given permission. Plants may die if left unattended in the sun or overnight, and HarvestLoop is not responsible in these cases.
Installed Kits: Loopers will install your plants according to your plan.
6. Maintenance Visits (SproutLoop, GrowLoop +, PremiumLoop +)
SproutLoop members may request on-demand Looper visits at the published rate.
For GrowLoop + and PremiumLoop + members, Looper visits are scheduled for planting, care, and troubleshooting.
If a Looper arrives and the customer is not available or access is blocked, a $20 no-show fee will apply.
Customers can coordinate directly with their Looper through text messages and the HarvestLoop app for scheduling and access instructions.
Loopers may adjust timing or materials due to weather, seasonal needs, or plant conditions.
7. Plant Guarantee & Swaps
We may occasionally need to substitute plant varieties due to growing or sourcing challenges. We’ll replace with similar options, or contact you with choices.
A Plant Guarantee is included only with Plus memberships (GrowLoop + and PremiumLoop +). Guarantee requires:
Weekly or bi-weekly access for Loopers, and
Immediate issue reporting by the customer through the HarvestLoop app.
DIY subscribers (SproutLoop) do not receive plant guarantees.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Provide adequate sunlight, irrigation, and access for installations and visits.
If you handle watering yourself, you must water properly and consistently. Otherwise, you are required to have drip irrigation installed or approved by your Looper.
Use the HarvestLoop app for check-ins, updates, and reporting issues.
Maintain a safe environment for Loopers (pet-free during visits).
9. Liability & Safety
Plant growth depends on many factors. We cannot guarantee harvest size, taste, or timing.
HarvestLoop is not responsible for damage or crop loss caused by weather, pests, disease, or other natural events.
Minor yard impact may occur during installations (soil movement, wheelbarrow traffic, etc.). By subscribing, you accept this risk.
10. Legal
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for your subscription.
By purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
